Lewisville Elementary School Theme
At Lewisville Elementary School our theme is Science! Students receive hands-on science instruction in the classroom through the use of Science and Technology for Children kits.
Students also receive additional instruction from our school science lab teacher. Time in the science lab involves technology, science equipment, outdoor studies, and gardening.
Our MISSION is to provide all students with an atmosphere conducive to developing academically, emotionally, physically, and socially so that they may become productive citizens in our rapidly changing world.

Lewisville Elementary School places a lot of focus on character education. While we believe character development must begin at home, we want to ensure that Lewisville students have it modeled and taught at school each day.
In our attempt to do this, we are encouraging students to make good choices, to use good manners, to show respect for everyone, and to come to Lewisville Elementary School ready to work and learn.
I encourage you to discuss this with your child. Ask him or her about the special things we do at Lewisville to emphasize good character.
Your ideas and suggestions are always welcome. You are encouraged to become involved in Lewisville Elementary School. We have a wonderful parent volunteer program and a very active PTA.

Are the curriculum objectives for kindergarten students posted on this website? Is software available to use at home for the kindergarten student?
We are very impressed with the PTA fundraiser project and rewards planned and executed for the children who participated.

The Grade Level Expectations are found here: Kindergarten Expectations. I’m not aware of any software for home use, but you might want to check with you child’s teacher to verify that.
